Recycled polyester is crafted from thread made of recycled plastic. Using one pound of RPET can keep 30 plastic bottles out of a landfill. The process of creating recycled polyester requires 90% less water compared to standard pure polyester production.
Oyster shells are sourced from the food industry, ground into powder and mixed with plastic pellets made from recycled plastic bottles. This blend is naturally soft, quick drying and wrinkle resistant. Both the process and the materials reduce environmental impact.
Repreve® is the leading performance fiber made from recycled materials, including plastic. Recycled bottles are ground and melted into Repreve® chips that are used to create recycled fiber. The fiber is then made into fabric. This process also conserves water and energy.
